Lovingston Sour

Makes one cocktail.

  • 1 1/2 ounces Port Cask Finished Virginia-Highland Whisky
  • 2.5 ounces sour mix**
  • ½ ounce simple syrup*
  • 2 dashes aromatic bitters
  • 3-4 ice cubes
  • Lemon wedge for garnish

Combine ingredients, stir and add lemon wedge to garnish.

*Simple Syrup: ½ cup water, ½ cup sugar. Heat water add sugar and stir until sugar dissolves. Let cool before use.

**Sour Mix: Combine ½ cup water and ¾ cup sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and let cool for 5 minutes. Add ½ cup lemon juice and ½ cup lime juice. Stir until mixed.
