Lavender Hot Toddy

Makes one cocktail.

  • 1 ½ oz Port Cask Finished Virginia-Highland Whisky
  • 2 tsps lemon juice
  • 4 tsps honey lavender mint simple syrup*
  • ¾ cup hot water
  • Lavender bitters
  • Lemon peel for garnish

Mix all ingredients in a mug.Top with 3 dashes lavender bitters.Stir and garnish with lemon peel.


*Honey Lavender Mint Simple Syrup: Combine 1 cup water, 1 cup honey, ½ cup lavender, ¼ cup mint leaves. Combine honey, water, lavender flowers, and mint leaves (or 2 tbls pre-made spearmint simple syrup) in a saucepan and heat on low for 10 minutes, making sure not to boil, as the lavender will scorch and turn bitter. Remove from heat and let steep for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Strain. Refrigerate and store for up to 2 weeks. Yields 1 ½ cups
