Add ingredients in glass over ice. Garnish with star anise or a lime wedge.
*Ginger Star Simple Syrup: ¼ cup star anise, 1 cup sugar, 2 cups water; Steep star anise in hot water 20 minutes. Add sugar stirring over low heat until dissolved. Remove from heat and cool. Strain, add ½ cup ginger beer and refrigerate.
