Port Finished Virginia Highland Malt Whisky- Batch #4
Our flagship Port Finished Virginia Highland Malt Whisky arrives to us as a malt whisky from the Scottish Highlands and is finished in Port-style wine barrels, sourced from winery partners all across Virginia.
Batch 4 features finishing casks from King Family Vineyards, Veritas Vineyard and Winery, Stinson Vineyards, Horton Vineyards and Virginia Wineworks.
Nancy Fraley, an International spirits nosing expert, has assisted in putting this Virginia Highland Malt batch together and offered the following notes:
“On the nose, caramel notes mingle with darker tones of dried fig and raisin, along with slight vanilla and barrel spice. On the palate, a balanced finish appears, with a hint of cocoa, toffee and toasted oak.”
Enjoy neat, with a cube or a splash of water or in a specialty cocktail.
This whisky is available at the Visitors Center and in the following states: Connecticut, DC, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Virginia.
