Selling casks is a common practice among Scottish distilleries and until now you would have to travel there to buy one.
Now you can enjoy the privilege of owning your own cask of the finest single malt whisky right here at home. For a limited time the Virginia Distillery Company is proud to offer the only cask ownership program available in all of North America.
A WHISKY UNLIKE ANY OTHER
Created under the watchful eye (and nose) of our master distiller, we will fill your cask with rare malt whisky from our authentic copper pot stills – the stills so essential to the double distilling characteristic of true malt whisky.
Because the whisky in your cask is a truly unique expression, we will bottle each cask independently of any other to preserve your whisky’s individual quality and character. All whisky bottled by The Virginia Distillery Company will be at 46% ABV, 92 proof and non chill-filtered for your finest enjoyment. You will be invited to the distillery to see your cask filled and to visit annually to monitor its progress.
You will also have the option of working with our master distiller to arrange for additional aging and finishing in wine casks, if you so choose, for additional fees.
